Towering over the small town of Coniston, the fell draws the eye immediately. It's a track that I (Joe) climbed on a family holiday 20 years ago and was keen to go back to.

A pleasant walk from Coniston to the Langdales. Beware at the Coniston end as there are some severe drops where the quarry workings used to be. It is quite daunting looking over the ledges. Must be a nice place to live but most of the cottages seem to be holiday lets.
